Curves is a weight-loss program that was founded in 1992. The company was founded by husband and wife, Gary and Diane Heavin. Other names that the company goes by is Curves International, Curves Fitness, or Curves for Women. The Curves headquarters is located in Waco, TX. There are Curves locations within the United States, Africa, Asia, Europe, South America, Central America, and the Caribbean. During the first decade, Curves had over 10,000 locations across the world within over two-thirds of those facilities located within the United States. As of 2019, there are only 367 facilities still open in the United States. Each of the locations is independently owned franchises.

Curves were designed for women who wanted to work out and gain a healthier lifestyle. The program incorporates strength-training and aerobics in one 30-minute workout sessions. It involves a series of machines focusing on various muscle groups to be performed in a fast-paced circuit. The machines are specifically built for women, but men are also welcomed to join the Curves program as well. Aside from the fitness machines, Curves also offers personal training programs, one-on-one nutritional coaching, meal plans, and workout gear.

New members can join Curves for a $75 enrollment fee and agree to a 3 or 6-month commitment. Membership fees start at $12.95 per week plus any taxes and fees, totaling $45-50 per month. Step 1. Write up a letter and request cancellation within it. Provide all of your account info as listed. Sign and date the letter and keep a copy for your records.
Step 2. Head to the post office to use certified mail and send your letter to the address provided to you by the gym
Step 3. Contact the business at the phone number for the gym you signed up at or attended most frequently after your letter is received to ensure your account is cancelled
Step 4. Ask for a verbal confirmation code or email as proof of your cancellation
Step 5. Retain the confirmation information you’re given
