How to cancel your Wounded Warrior Care Network account

The Wounded Warrior Project is a not for profit charity that focuses on providing healing and support for active duty and retired members of the military. The charity was founded in 2003 by a group of military veterans and supporters who saw a desperate need for support for active duty and retired military personnel. The charity was founded out of Virginia, but services are offered throughout the United States with several regional offices. Programs that Wounded Warrior Project offers are for recently wounded veterans and include assistance with finding veterans benefits through the Department of Veterans Affairs and Department of Defense, acquiring financial assistance, assistance with interviews and job-finding skills, mental health support, counseling services, and support for connecting with other veterans, the community, and families.

The organization has served 67,000 veterans since being founded in 2003, and 72% of funds raised by the charity are going back towards the treatment and support of veterans. Veterans participating in the Wounded Warrior Project have seen a positive and increased improvement in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury, and other mental health conditions. The charity is able to provide up to one year of mental health, physical health, and wellness services along with an intensive outpatient program founded on research-based practices. The charity has received numerous awards including 2019 Hiring our Heroes Award, 2019 Nonprofit Times Award, 2017 Major General Joseph Warren, MD Home Base Veteran, and Family Care Award, and the 2016 National Military Family Association Award.
