  1. They make you jump through enormous hoops to delete an account. They told me to send a letter to:
    Blizzard Entertainment, Inc.
    Privacy Policy Administrator
    16215 Alton Parkway
    Irvine, CA 92618

    In that letter, they require:

    Your Battle.net account name
    – Full name registered on the account
    – Your full address including postal or zip code
    – Your Battle.net Secret Question and answer
    – A legible scan or photo of a piece of government-issued photo identification, such as a passport or driving license matching the first and last name of the registered account owner

    – Must sign the letter

This is the only way they will delete your account.
Be very wary of opening accounts with online companies folks! This is a growing trend because these companies make $$$ from your unused but still active account.

  2. I have decided to renounce sc2, thou i’m diamond having several thousand wins and achievements ~6000. I value all this as a biggest futility I chose to do in my life and i’m tired of all that, together with monothonic embarrassment that the game created as a fruit of playing it.
I want it forEVER out, cause’ it could ruin my life further, stealing peace, energy, time, sleep, firends etc. + after playing I feel emotions that I dont like and dont want in me, like anger, arrogance, fears, anxieties, sadness, ignorance in many things in life, coldness in relationship with friends and no mercy to the people who suffers, etc.

I know probably it’s firstly not about the game itself, but about my unstable character. As I am too weak to control the using of game (ex.often I consider I will play 2 hours in the evening and finish at 4 or 5 in the morning),
the only change for me was to resign it and I found too ways for that:

    1) Join custom games. There plays people who dont have the accounts. (experience level 15 or less) Just offer a gift, in changing your account email address, password and name (if unused) into theirs, and send that info asking to take it and change the password on his own. DONE.
(the sad point of this choise is that you help other person to get attachment to the game, that yourself dont want to yourself or to anybody else:)

    2) Create difficult email address and pasword (and other info if needed), for example [email protected] pasw:1265d4wdw84x98c18wd.
Then change it in the account and erase any off information from your computer and memory. DONE. Have your happy normal life.

  3. i have submitted an delete account to them and they said it can take upto
10 days before they come up to an decision to where ever they can approve
or disapprove the claim in an worse case scenario they just decline the claim
hence you are stuck with it in which some companies even say you can cancel
at anytime that can mislead people and use any trick in the book by making
    you stay by stating this.

we looked into your claim for account termination but we decided that you
can’t terminate your account but in the meantime enjoy our services .

in which in this day and age that you should have the freedoms to have accounts deleted
and not be strong armed into staying .
