Does this procedure completely remove an account, or does Huffpost keep all of our comments and profile information on their servers for an indefinite period of time, even if we think we have deleted our accounts?

I found additional information on the Huffington Post website which may be helpful: “When you deactivate your account, your user profile will be disabled, but your public comments will remain on the site. We have no responsibility to take down, remove, or edit any of your public activities or comments. For more information, please review our Terms and Conditions.” So it sounds like accounts are deactivated, but not deleted. Source: https://help.huffingtonpost
