Also, as of 2014, Tango had more than 200 million registered users for the program. The Tango application is free to download from the iOS app store or Google Play store and use and includes video calls, voice calls, texting photo sharing, and games. Tango is available in 14 languages including Arabic, Chinese, and Turkish for Android and iOS mobile devices. Previously Tango was available for Windows-based smartphones and on computers but those features were discontinued in August of 2015. The application requires registration to use but has no recurring monthly subscription fees. Tango Live allows for live broadcasts and allows users to follow content creators to see their broadcasts. Viewers of Tango Live broadcasts may purchase and give “gifts” to broadcasters in the form of Tango Diamonds. Tango Diamonds can be collected by broadcasters and later redeemed for cash as a way of monetizing their live broadcasts. These are not generally a recurring subscription however so users may stop at any time.
